Rosary is the scourge1 of the devil.

Pope Adrian VI

Personal story

Recently my wife and I started learning the rosary prayer. We are decided to pray once a week with long term goal of eventually praying it every day. The night before last we got into bed and prepared to pray it together, when suddenly my wife became irritated with everything (myself included). She was uncomfortable and didn’t like anything I said, immediately raising her voice in anger.

She was trying to relax before we start with prayer and I suggested that she should just start anyways and that will bring her peace. She raised her tone telling me to stop talking and that she needs to cool off. After letting her cool off for a couple of minutes I told her that it seems like the evil forces are trying really hard to stop us from praying the rosary. She then replied: “You know… that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking a moment ago, but no evil force will stop me from praying right now.”

So we started, not a minute passed by and we almost started fighting, but we just continued praying. By the end we were okay and not at all mad at each other. We won this fight against the devil, but I’m sure he’ll try to strike again soon.

Conclusion

Seems like the devil really doesn’t like couples that relentlessly pray the rosary together. It must drive him mad not being able to touch us as we are grounded in our faith and prayer.

Remember this: Couples that pray together, stay together!
